Gypsyhawk Checks In From The Road!

ghawkFresh from their kick ass, facemelting sets at SXSW and the Metal Sucks “South by South Death” showcase, Gypsyhawk are pushing on, piling the shit in their fan, and back on the road defending good times for life. The only problem is that nobody seems to be fucking talking about? How can a band as kick ass as Gypsyhawk be out on the road (towing along the also facemelting band Mothership) and there be little to no word on it?

Gypsyhawk is currently out on the road supporting their stellar sophomore release Revelry and Resilience (BUY IT HERE).  Guitarist Erik Kluiber (aka. Ron Houser) called me on Friday just to check in from the road and fill me in on how the tour has been going and how everything went at their SXSW appearances. Erik said that the band had an absolute blast at SXSW and had a great time meeting some new people and crossing paths with some great bands. Erik asked me, “Have you heard Kadavar? They are really great. They remind me of Witchcraft only a bit more on the mellow side.” I gave Kadavar a listen and low and behold, I’ve found yet another favorite band! I love it when my friends turn me on to some awesome new bands. Now if I could only sway you all to go out and support Gypsyhawk on this tour!

When I asked about the tour and how the response has been, Erik said, “The shows have been going really great. The band has been having some great shows but nobody seems to be talking about it. Nobody is writing reviews or posting YouTube clips or anything!” C’mon folks. Every time I open up a web browser there’s another crappy Lamb of God cell phone video or some crappy ass Coheed and Cambria clip. If you’re out there checking out the shows, post your clips, write a little blurb on your Facebook page, and more importantly, tell your friends all about the shows that may be coming to their area.

The March Out of Winter tour is still in full swing so be sure to check the dates below. Get out there, support Gypsyhawk, support Mothership, buy merch, film them with your phones, and post that shit all over the Interwebs. Bands like this need and deserve all of the support they can get so get to it y’all.
