Hawk-Aid 2013: Gypsyhawk Needs Your Help To Keep Defending Good Times!

Gypsyhawk-RevelryAndResiliencePasadena face melters Gypsyhawk have some good news, some bad news, and more good news for you all at once.  After five years of dedication to the band, lead guitarist Andrew Packer has decided to exit the band and pursue some other adventures.  The Brainfart, and I’m sure all of the Gypsyhawk fans wish him and the band nothing but success.  This parting of the ways did come with a stigma besides the loss of a band member.  When Mr. Packer left, so did the van leaving the band without a reasonable means of transportation.

Gypsyhawk, along with new guitarist Ben Robbins formerly of Jameson, are reaching out to the fans for help.  Now you all know how I feel about these indie go-go/band fund raising things but hey, it’s my site and if I want to make an exception I can and I do so in the case of Gypsyhawk.  These guys are hard working mother fuckers who bring the good times to every stage that they grace. They bring 110% all the time and they truly make their fans a bunch of happy, smiling bastards.

Gypsyhawk has launched their Indie Go-Go Fundraising page and the band is offering what I feel like are some of the best incentives I’ve ever seen on a campaign like this.  Things like a personalized Tweet, a ballad sung to you by Ron Houser, or even being a roadie for a day.  I’m not sure I’d pay someone to have them allow me to haul their shit around but hey, different strokes for different folks right?

The band is working on hitting the road soon with Scorpion Child, Kadavar, and Wilson for what just may be one of the finer touring packages this summer.  The band will then be out later in the year with brew rockers Alestorm so these tours are definitely not ones to be missed.

Get on it and go support the Hawk so they can keep in defending good times for life!
