Yes indeed folks. Thanksgiving is upon us but before I go and gorge myself on turkey, stuffing, canned cranberry jelly, and have myself a food baby or two, I just wanted to take a second to get all mushy and give thanks! I feel like I try as often as I can to thank everyone but sometimes life gets busy and I may not have the chance to say thanks to everyone. So here’s my lil thank you list.
I’m thankful for having an awesomely supportive wife who loves me and supports me in doing this here site. She never complains about all the late nights I keep, the concerts I attend, and the two dresser drawers full of black tour shirts. I couldn’t do this site and chase my dreams without her!
I’m thankful for having an awesome family and in-laws who love me unconditionally and for my dog Cassie and cats Drusilla and Coltrane who keep me from going crazy on most days!
I’m thankful for the greatest friends anyone could ever ask for. Talking metal over lunches, over instant messenger, and just always checking in with me and being there for me when I need y’all. You all rule my face!
I’m thankful for all the amazing bands that have made some amazing music that touches me, inspires me, drives me, and just makes me feel awesome! I’m also thankful of those same bands for touring relentlessly and always give us fans something that takes us away from it all for even just an hour or two.
I’m thankful for all of my faithful and dementedly devoted Fartheads! You all keep coming to this site and you all never let me down. I know you all may not always be behind what this opinionated asshole has to say but regardless, you debate with me, you argue with me, you laugh with me, and you rock out with me!
I hope each and everyone of you find something and/or someone you’re thankful for. Just don’t make ONE DAY to be a day to give thanks, give thanks every fucking day that you can. Life is short y’all and know that I am always thankful of you all!
