Ryan Adams has never been shy about his love for heavy metal.  Doing everything from covering Iron Maiden and Ratt in his live shows to tweeting about his excitement over finding rare Mayhem vinyls while on tour in Europe, Ryan Adams is every bit as metal as the rest of us.

Well, he proved it once again on Saturday, July 23 when he was accompanied by the Infamous Stringdusters.  Ryan Adams and the Infamous Stringdusters opened their nearly one hour set with a rousing rendition of Slayer’s “South of Heaven” and then went on to close their set out with the Black Sabbath classic “The Wizard. ”  Ryan’s entire set can be heard HERE but you can hear the Slayer and Sabbath covers below!

About Don de Leaumont

Don (aka. The Brainfart) has been a heavy metal fan since hearing it for the first time in 1983. Don is also repsonsible for all of the typos, shitty grammar, and kick ass content on this site. Don likes cheap beer, whiskey, Coca Cola Icees, going to shows, and hanging with his kick ass wife, two cats and dog. He originally wanted to name his dog Shandi but his wife said, “No fucking way.”
