Heaven & Hell Releases "The Devil You Know" This April!

Heaven And Hell, the band featuring the post-Ozzy Osbourne members of Black Sabbath, will release it’s first album under this moniker. The album is called “The Devil You Know” and is slated for an April 28 release on Rhino. This marks the first studio recording from Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Vinnie Apiece and Geezer Butler since 1992’s “Dehumanizer”.

In all honesty, while I’m really psyched about this line up and a full on tour (which I hope will come my way this time), I always worry about new material from a line up like this.  It’s like Ozzy putting out new albums.  He should have stopped with “No More Tears” and that would’ve been the best way to end.  Instead, we were cursed with a string of less than mediocre albums that pretty much tarnished his legacy.

Then again, it’s Dio we’re talking about!  I’m guessing the shit will be cheesy and corny as always but I’m guessing that with the riff master Iommi, the songs will rip and the delivery will be top notch.  I can only hope the production will be great as well.   A band like this needs to have stellar production in order to capture the essence of the songs and the true mood.  Wow, just typing all this shit has got me all excited about the release.  I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.  I just hope the tour comes my way!
