Pathfinder Promotions here in Atlanta, GA has announced the line up for the 2012 Pathfinder Metalfest IV. The festival will take place on Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Marietta, GA at The Local and I couldn’t be more pumped about this festival. Not only is it taking place right here in my backyard, they managed to get the almighty Brave from Virginia on the bill. WHile Heaven Wept as a headliner isn’t too shabby either but just getting the opportunity to see Brave live will be worth the price of admission. Tickets will be on sale exclusively through Ticket Alternative starting Jan 2nd, 2012.

While Heaven Wept
While Heaven Wept (often abbreviated as WHW) is an epic doom metal band based in Dale City, Virginia, USA. Their melodic, classically influenced style could be compared to bands such as Solitude Aeturnus and Solstice; however, 2003’s acclaimed ‘Of Empires Forlorn’ saw the band branching out into a variety of metal and progressive styles. This trend continues as WHW prepare their next album to be released through Nuclear Blast Records in 2013.

Theocracy
Theocracy is a Christian progressive power metal band founded in Athens, Georgia. The group originally started out as a one man project with all the instruments and vocals done on the debut album performed by founder Matt Smith. Musically, the band mixes the power metal style of Edguy, Iced Earth, and Helloween with progressive influences from bands such as Dream Theater, Symphony X, Kansas and Rush. Theocracy has just released their third and most comprehensive album to date, ‘As the World Bleeds.

Lorenguard
