After a successful handful of dates this year, Anthrax and Testament will join forces once again as co-headliners with Death Angel taking on the primary support slot. I kept my eye on this tour and in all honesty found myself quite disappointed in Anthrax’s set list. While I was glad to see them pulling out some great numbers from their awesome new release “Worship Music”, the rest of the show seemed predictable at best with nothing more than “Got The Time” being played from the “Persistence of Time” album. Testament seemed to be the MVPs of that run proving that they are still a power to be reckoned with and Death Angel just seemed to sweeten the deal on this “classic” Metal tour. I really enjoy seeing tours like this happen as it really shows some strength in numbers with the bands of my past showing all the kids just how it’s really done. I’m really looking forward to catching this show here in Atlanta and I’m curious to see if Anthrax will be bold and actually try and do something that will wow us. Like maybe perform “Persistence of Time” in it’s entirety. That right there just may earn them show of the year!
