The Brainfart’s Ten Most Epic Tony Martin Era Black Sabbath Jams

Over the past couple of years, it’s been the big news that Black Sabbath was embarking on “The End”, their final tour ever. Well, I’ll be honest. I am a HUGE Sabbath fan and what was out there was not Black Sabbath and it was the equivalent of actually tasting expired milk before tossing it out for good. Hey, the truth hurts bitch. I mean, don’t get me wrong. Tony Iommi is and will forever be the Riff Lord (not you, Kirk Windstein) and Geezer Butler will always be… well… Geezer Butler. Ozzy is just a bumbling muppet that should’ve been done a long time ago but hey, I’m getting off track for the point of this article. What’s the point? The point is Tony “The Cat” Martin.

For those that don’t know Tony Martin was the guy that was drafted into the frontman role in 1986 and, in my opinion, recorded the best post Ozzy/Dio material ever in Black Sabbath. Iommi supplied the riffs and Martin proved to not only be an amazing vocalist in his own right but he also wrote some of the most epic metal masterpieces I’ve ever heard.

I will never understand why Tony Martin era Black Sabbath gets swept under the rug but leave it to the Brainfart to pull that fucking rug back and expose all of the fucking epic awesomeness that lies beneath. While I love nearly everything The Cat did with Sabbath, I challenged myself to list my Top Ten Tony Martin era Sabbath jams!
