Image result for venom incWhen original Venom members Mantas (guitar) and Abaddon (drums) reunited with bassist/vocalist Demolition Man under the moniker Venom Inc, I’ll be honest when I say that I had my doubts. Venom (w/ Cronos) had just put out one of my favorite albums and this “other” Venom lineup was something I wasn’t really even aware of. When the band put to rest all the naysayers (yours truly included) with a highly successful North American tour in 2016, I found myself feeling like I had actually seen the “REAL” Venom but I wanted more. I wanted some new material from this lineup. Well, it looks like I’ll get my wish.

Venom Inc has signed on with powerhouse metal label Nuclear Blast. Venom Inc has had quite the run. Venom Inc will deliver the first album under the name sometime later this year. “The one thing that I think that I can proudly say is that this has been realized through sheer hard work, perseverance and determination, and of course the amazing support from our lifeblood… THE FANS,” said Mantas upon the signing.

Venom Inc also announced that they will be returning to North America for a full force onslaught in 2017. ‘The Bloodstained Earth Tour,’ will offer support from New Orleans’ Goatwhore, thrash crossover masters Toxic Holocaust and The Convalescence. The tour begins on Sept. 1 in Philadelphia, working upward along the coast and into Canada before descending back down to the U.S., hitting the heartland. From there, it’s off to the West Coast, circling back through the South, over to Florida and finishing things off in Baltimore, Md. on Oct. 2 with two more dates booked as “Special Venom Inc Bash” at a yet to be determined location.

Frontman Demolition Man, who was featured on three Venom albums ranging from 1989 through 1992, exclaimed, “It is with the greatest pleasure that we announce our 2017 North American Blood Stained Earth Tour! With a brand new set, we cannot wait to see our North American fans – old, loyal and new. With our brothers Goatwhore, Toxic Holocaust and The Convalescence, we give you a package that will leave you full of the best metal any tour can produce! Don’t miss it, I promise you’ll regret it. ALL HAIL NORTH AMERICA. AVE!”

About Don de Leaumont

Don (aka. The Brainfart) has been a heavy metal fan since hearing it for the first time in 1983. Don is also repsonsible for all of the typos, shitty grammar, and kick ass content on this site. Don likes cheap beer, whiskey, Coca Cola Icees, going to shows, and hanging with his kick ass wife, two cats and dog. He originally wanted to name his dog Shandi but his wife said, “No fucking way.”
